Quick-Start

Select the camera to use (if more than one listed). Press Start Measurement button. Within 3 seconds, fully cover the camera lens with a fingertip. Don’t press hard. Hold still and don’t move the camera around. Wait for about 30 seconds until you see your results displayed. You can correct the displayed reading by entering the actual value (in mmol/L), if you have it. If you don’t have an actual value for your blood glucose level, to try Gluco, for each calibration you do, enter a value between 4.5 and 7,the higher amounts are for within 2 hours of eating, these are values for those who are not diabetic. Remember, Gluco is currently not to be used for medical purposes.

Introduction

Welcome to the Gluco the first 100% non-invasive online glucometer! Gluco is a digital, non-invasive glucometer designed to help you estimate your blood glucose levels using your device’s camera. This guide will walk you through the features, setup, and usage of Gluco to ensure you get the most out of its innovative features.

Performing a Measurement

  1. Access the Gluco Interface:
  2. Start Measurement: Take the measurement in a normal lighted place, not too bright and not dark. Click the “Start Measurement” button to begin.
  3. Position Your Finger: Fully cover the camera lens with a fingertip. Place your finger within the camera frame as guided by the interface. Keep your finger and the device still for about 30 seconds.
  4. View Results: After processing, your estimated glucose levels will be displayed in both mmol/L and mg/dL, along with the date and time of measurement.

Calibration

  1. Enable Calibration: After a measurement has been completed and you wish to correct the result with a known value or expected value, toggle the “Calibrate” switch to open the calibration section (if not already open).
  2. Enter Reference Value: Input a known glucose value in mmol/L to calibrate Gluco.
  3. Save Calibration: Click the “Calibrate” button to store your calibration data. This data is saved locally in your browser. You can now take the measurement again, Gluco will learn and improve its accuracy with the reference value you entered from that point on. You don’t need to calibrate it after every measurement.
  4. Recalibrate as Needed: For optimal accuracy, recalibrate periodically, especially if you notice inconsistencies in measurements.

Troubleshooting

  • “Loading…” Indicator Persists:
    • Ensure your internet connection is stable.
    • Check if your browser has granted camera permissions.
  • Camera Access Denied or your camera does not open:
    • Try reloading the Gluco page first. If your camera is still not opening, go to your browser settings and allow camera access for your website.
    • Refresh the page and try initiating a measurement again.
  • Calibration Issues:
    • Ensure you enter a valid glucose value during calibration.
    • Clear your browser cookies and recalibrate if necessary.
  • Measurement Failures:
    • Ensure your finger is properly placed within the camera frame.
    • Check for any obstructions or lighting issues affecting the camera feed.
    • Try restarting your device and attempting the measurement again.
