GlucoX User Guide
Learn how to measure each metric and understand what your results mean.
General Instructions
Prepare: For best results, ensure your camera lens is clean and your finger is dry. You may enable your phone’s flashlight (if available) for extra illumination.
Position: Gently place your finger over the camera lens so it’s fully covered, avoiding excessive pressure. Remain still during the measurement (usually ~30 seconds).
Limitations: These metrics are approximate and can be affected by lighting, skin tone, motion, or device hardware. Always consult a healthcare professional for diagnosis or treatment.
🩸 Blood Glucose
Meaning: Blood glucose indicates how much sugar is circulating in your bloodstream. Normal fasting levels are typically between 70–99 mg/dL (3.9–5.5 mmol/L). Elevated levels may suggest prediabetes or diabetes; low levels can indicate hypoglycemia.
❤️ Heart Rate
Meaning: The number of heartbeats per minute. A normal resting heart rate for adults is generally in the range of 60–100 bpm. Athletes or very fit individuals may have resting rates below 60 bpm.
🌬️ Respiratory Rate
Meaning: The number of breaths per minute. Typical resting respiratory rates for adults range from about 12–20 breaths per minute. Higher rates may indicate stress, fever, or respiratory conditions.
📈 Heart Rate Variability (HRV)
Meaning: Variation in the time interval between heartbeats. A higher HRV often reflects better cardiovascular fitness and resilience. Low HRV can correlate with stress or fatigue.
🌈 Skin Pigments
Meaning: Represents color-based estimations (e.g., carotenoid levels or melanin). Ranges vary widely by individual. Subtle changes might indicate dietary or skin health trends.
🩸 SpO₂ (Oxy vs. Deoxyhemoglobin)
Meaning: Peripheral oxygen saturation. Most healthy adults have SpO₂ values from 95%–100%. Values below 92% may warrant medical review, especially if accompanied by symptoms.
🟡 Bilirubin
Meaning: A breakdown product of red blood cells. Elevated bilirubin may cause jaundice (yellowing of skin/eyes). Normal total bilirubin is typically 0.3–1.2 mg/dL.
🔴 Anemia Risk
Meaning: Anemia means your blood has lower-than-normal red blood cell count or hemoglobin, leading to reduced oxygen transport. Typical hemoglobin levels are around 13.5–17.5 g/dL (male) or 12.0–15.5 g/dL (female). Low values may lead to fatigue or weakness.
