Miznee is developing a new and advanced technology so that you can use only a photo taken by a smartphone camera to check your blood glucose level. We need your help, if you are living with diabetes (Type 1, 2 or prediabetes). We just need as many finger-tip photos and and the glucose value your device displays at the time of testing. This helps us ensure the accuracy of the technology we are working on.
We do not need your name or any other personal information. No registration of an account is required.
How can you help?
After you check your glucose level with your normal device, browse to this page with your phone, tablet or laptop. Cover the camera and follow the short description. That’s all!. No account, no personal data.
The more samples we receive from helpers like you, over the next few months, the faster we can finalise the technology for official approval and release.

STEPS to Upload Your Finger-Tip Photo and Glucose Level
- After you have written down the blood glucose level reading from your normal meter device, ensure your finger-tip has been cleansed of blood.
- Find a an area with low light or avoid direct light on your phone camera then switch to the selfie camera, turn the flash on and set the timer to to 3, 5 or 10 seconds.
- Press the camera button to take the photo. Fully cover the selfie camera with your finger-tip (avoid touching the rest of the screen). Cover the camera with your thumb if it is easier for you. The camera will automatically take a photo when the timer has reached the time you set.
- Next, enter your glucose reading from your meter device, below and then upload the photo – wait for the message that says the photo has been successfully uploaded, otherwise, please retry.
And that’s all. Please repeat this process as often as you can when you check your blood sugar level. Every image and glucose level data helps. Thank you!

- Do I need to create an account, provide my personal details to be able to share my finger-tip photos and glucose readings?
- Definitely, no. We do not request or require any personal details.
- Do I need to enter my glucose reading unit as either mmol/L or mg/dL?
- No. But you can, if you wish.
- What is the maximum photo size and what type of photo file type are allowed?
- Please keep 6 Mb as a maximum file size. Photo file types of jpg, jpeg and PNG are acceptable.
- Do I have to use a particular brand or model of phone, tablet or laptop?
- No.
- Do the type of device camera matter?
- No, even a 1 Mega pixel camera is perfectly fine.
- Does my skin type, age or gender matter?
- Light affects each of us differently that is how we can differentiate one person from another when we see them.. Along with achieving high accuracy, we are conducting these tests to ensure that these factors will not affect the accuracy required for healthily living with diabetes. So, when we release our product for your use, the answer will be, no.
When our technology is ready, with just your smartphone, tablet or laptop camera, you will be able to quickly and accurately measure your blood glucose level. No pain, no blood sample, no high cost, no lancets, no test strips or attached sensor will be required by our technology.
